That changed in 2017 when a partnership developed between Blumenthal Performing Arts, The Comedy Zone, and Queen City Comedy. Together, the trio of organizations opened the door for local comedians with The Improv Room at Stage Door Theater to perform in the heart of Charlotte, garnering more attention.
