After eating, we took a stroll around the property while waiting for our scheduled Pictured Rocks boat tour. In the parking lot of the Duck Pond Eatery & Beer Garden is the office to schedule tours – guided boat and kayak – or book a stay at their Paddler’s Village. There is plenty of free parking available in a dirt lot near the ticket office, so I wouldn’t anticipate having trouble parking your car. As noted before, it’s recommended to arrive at least 45 minutes before your scheduled departure if you want to snag one of the good seats. But the low light conditions didn't diminish the beauty of the rocks and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to a return visit for a daylight cruise or a mid-summer evening cruise on a clear evening.
